Our Story

At Starfish & Smiles, we believe the best family memories are made on the water—together, at your own pace, and with comfort in mind. Born from two families desire to create a better boating experience for young children, our charters are thoughtfully designed for families of all ages to relax, explore, and enjoy the beauty of Cayman’s North Sound.
 
Captain Andrew, originally from the UK, moved to the Cayman Islands in 2007 and spent a decade working as a scuba instructor and guide. After his son was born, he saw an opportunity to create something different: a boat tour experience that truly welcomes families with young children. That vision became Starfish & Smiles.
 
Our boat, Sea Star, is set up with families in mind, featuring extra shade, spacious seating for lounging or napping, and a smooth catamaran ride that keeps little ones comfortable. Our itineraries are flexible and child-friendly, making it easy to follow your family’s rhythm and enjoy a private adventure tailored to you.
